Virginia High School Basketball - Salem overwhelms Grassfield
January 25, 2023: Chesapeake, VA 23323 Fans at Wednesday's non-league challenge between the Salem Sundevils (Virginia Beach, VA) and the host Grassfield Grizzlies (Chesapeake, VA), saw Salem's basketball squad wallop Grassfield by a tally of 73-42.
With the victory, Salem improves its record to 6-10 on the campaign. The Sundevils travel to Tallwood (Virginia Beach, VA) to confront the Lions in a Beach challenge on Friday, January 27. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 7-6. Tallwood lost 56-45 in their recent league challenge against Landstown (Virginia Beach, VA)
Next up, the Grizzlies confront the Nansemond River Warriors (Suffolk, VA) in a Southeastern challenge, on Friday, January 27. Grassfield will attempt to improve on its 5-8 season record. The Warriors come into the challenge with a 10-4 record after their 72-62 league win over Indian River (Chesapeake, VA).
