Kentucky High School Basketball - Russell knocked off by Boyd County

The Boyd County Lions basketball team scored 78 points and held the visiting Russell Red Devils to 64 in the Lions non-league triumph on Monday.

The Lions now sport a 21-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Morgan County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, February 14. Boyd County will meet a Cougars team coming off a 61-52 non-league win over Rowan County (Morehead, KY). The Cougars record now stands at 16-5.

The Red Devils (22-5) will now prepare for their contest against Fairview (Ashland, KY). The Eagles enter the non-league contest with a 13-13 record. In their last contest, Fairview ran past Raceland (Raceland, KY), 71-62, in a non-league contest.
