The Pius X Thunderbolts basketball team scored 67 points and held the visiting Grand Island Islanders to 56 in the Thunderbolts league triumph on Friday.

The Thunderbolts now sport a 9-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Skutt Catholic for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 23. Pius X will battle a SkyHawks team coming off a 66-52 non-league win over Roncalli Catholic (Omaha, NE). The SkyHawks record now stands at 9-3.

The Islanders (4-8) will now prepare for their contest against Bryan (Omaha, NE). The Bears enter the A District TBD contest with a 9-4 record. In their last contest, Bryan was defeated by Bellevue West (Bellevue, NE), 74-67, in a league contest.
