The Niagara Falls Wolverines (Niagara Falls, NY) basketball nipped the host Grand Island Vikings (Grand Island, NY), 52-49 in Tuesday's league test.

The Wolverines (4-7) will now prepare for their test against North Tonawanda (North Tonawanda, NY). The Lumberjacks go into the Section 6 Niagara - Frontier test with a 7-3 record. In their last test, North Tonawanda got by Kenmore East (Tonawanda, NY), 78-9, in a league test.

The Vikings now own a 3-7 record. They play next when they travel to Lockport for a Section 6 Niagara - Frontier test on Friday, January 20. Grand Island will encounter a Lions squad coming off a 83-34 league loss to Lewiston-Porter (Youngstown, NY). The Lions record now stands at 5-7.
