September 16, 2016: Wingate, PA 16823 The Chestnut Ridge Lions football team (New Paris, PA), was tipped 3-0 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Bald Eagle Area Bald Eagles (Wingate, PA)
The Bald Eagles (3-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Central (Martinsburg, PA). The Dragons come into the Mountain challenge with a 3-1 record. In their last challenge, Central nipped Penns Valley Area (Spring Mills, PA), 41-8, in a league challenge.
The Lions now sport a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Philipsburg-Osceola for a Mountain challenge on Friday, September 23. Chestnut Ridge will meet a Mountaineers team coming off a 37-7 league loss to Tyrone (Tyrone, PA). The Mountaineers record now stands at 0-4.
