Maranatha Minutemen (Pasadena, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Valley Christian Defenders (Cerritos, CA), 42-19 in a league bout.

With the win, Maranatha upgrades its record to 6-16 on the season. The Minutemen host Village Christian (Sun Valley, CA) to play the Crusaders in a Olympic bout on Tuesday, January 24. The Crusaders go into the bout with a record of 17-5. Village Christian won 62-54 in their recent non-league bout against Westlake (Westlake Village, CA)

Next up, the Defenders play the Heritage Christian Warriors (Northridge, CA) in a Olympic bout, on Tuesday, January 24. Valley Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 6-16 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 13-9 record after their 49-36 league win over Whittier Christian (La Habra, CA).
