Texas High School Basketball - South San Antonio nips Winn
February 3, 2023: San Antonio, TX 78224 Fans at Friday's league challenge between the South San Antonio Bobcats (San Antonio, TX) and the visiting Winn Mavericks (Eagle Pass, TX), saw South San Antonio's basketball squad hold off Winn by a count of 59-53.
With the victory, South San Antonio upgrades its record to 27-8 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Southwest (San Antonio, TX) to play the Dragons in a 5A Region IV District 28 challenge on Tuesday, February 7. The Dragons come into the challenge with a record of 11-23. Southwest lost 46-42 in their recent league challenge against Southside (San Antonio, TX)
Next up, the Mavericks play the Harlandale Indians (San Antonio, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 28 challenge, on Tuesday, February 7. Winn will attempt to upgrade on its 15-17 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 22-11 record after their 66-24 league win over Southwest Legacy (Von Ormy, TX).
