Illinois High School Basketball - Lincoln crushes East Peoria
January 31, 2023: Lincoln, IL 62656 Lincoln Railsplitters (Lincoln, IL) backers were pleased Tuesday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting East Peoria Raiders (East Peoria, IL), 47-24 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, Lincoln upgrades its record to 20-4 on the campaign. The Railsplitters travel to Taylorville (Taylorville, IL) to play the Tornadoes in a Apollo bout on Thursday, February 2. The Tornadoes come into the bout with a record of 3-22. Taylorville lost 65-26 in their recent league bout against Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL)
Next up, the Raiders play the Morton Potters (Morton, IL) in a Mid-Illini bout, on Saturday, February 4. East Peoria will attempt to upgrade on its 15-9 season record. The Potters come into the bout with a 20-8 record after their 59-23 league win over Limestone (Bartonville, IL).
