The South Mecklenburg Sabres (Charlotte, NC) softball routed the host Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC), 23-3 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Sabres (3-0) will now prepare for their bout against Berry (Charlotte, NC). The Cardinal go into the So Meck 4A bout with a 1-1 record. In their last bout, Berry was routed by Myers Park (Charlotte, NC), 15-0, in a league bout.

The Pumas now possess a 2-3 record. They play next when they travel to Ardrey Kell for a non-league bout on Thursday, March 9. Palisades will confront a Knights squad coming off a 8-5 non-league win over Independence (Charlotte, NC). The Knights record now stands at 2-2.
