Georgia High School Basketball - Wesleyan nips Lumpkin County
December 6, 2022: Norcross, GA 30092 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Wesleyan Wolves (Norcross, GA) and the visiting Lumpkin County Indians (Dahlonega, GA), saw Wesleyan's basketball squad hold off Lumpkin County by a tally of 74-68.
With the victory, Wesleyan improves its record to 5-0 on the campaign. The Wolves travel to White County (Cleveland, GA) to play the Warriors in a AAA Region 7 challenge on Friday, December 9. The Warriors come into the challenge with a record of 7-1. White County won 73-40 in their recent non-league challenge against Tallulah Falls (Tallulah Falls, GA)
Next up, the Indians play the West Hall Spartans (Oakwood, GA) in a AAA Region 7 challenge, on Friday, December 9. Lumpkin County will attempt to improve on its 5-1 season record. The Spartans come into the challenge with a 2-6 record after their 64-6 league loss to Dawson County (Dawsonville, GA).
