The Lake Zurich Bears (Lake Zurich, IL) basketball felled the visiting Cary-Grove Trojans (Cary, IL), 40-24 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Bears (18-5) will now prepare for their test against Zion-Benton (Zion, IL). The Zee-Bees go into the North Suburban test with a 2-22 record. In their last test, Zion-Benton thwarted Fenton (Bensenville, IL), 54-41, in a non-league test.

The Trojans now own a 10-11 record. They play next when they travel to Hampshire for a Fox Valley test on Wednesday, January 25. Cary-Grove will encounter a Whip-Purs squad coming off a 53-52 league win over Central (Burlington, IL). The Whip-Purs record now stands at 15-8.
