The Ponaganset Chieftains lacrosse squad (North Scituate, RI), was overwhelmed 9-2 in Saturday's league contest with the visiting Providence Country Day Knights (East Providence, RI)

Coming up next, the Knights confront the Smithfield Sentinels (Esmond, RI) in a Division 3 contest, on Tuesday, May 16. Providence Country Day will attempt to improve on its 7-6 season record. The Sentinels enter the contest with a 9-3 record after their 8-7 league win over Toll Gate (Warwick, RI).

The Chieftains now sport a 0-12 record. They play next when they travel to Burrillville for a Division 3 contest on Wednesday, May 17. Ponaganset will confront a Broncos squad coming off a 14-4 league win over Mt. Hope (Bristol, RI). The Broncos record now stands at 5-7.
