Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) supporters left the game in high spirits Wednesday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting South Caldwell Spartans (Hudson, NC), 3-0 in a league match.

Next up, the Cougars battle the Hibriten Panthers (Lenoir, NC) in a Northwestern 3A/4A match, on Monday, September 25. Alexander Central will attempt to advance on its 2-11 season record. The Panthers come into the match with a 8-6 record after their 3-0 non-league loss to Hickory (Hickory, NC).

With the loss, South Caldwell drops to 9-4 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC) to battle the Huskies in a Northwestern 3A/4A match on Monday, September 25. The Huskies come into the match with a record of 11-2. Ashe County won 3-0 in their recent league match against Freedom (Morganton, NC)
