Ohio High School Basketball - Van Wert can't hold off Defiance

The Defiance Bulldogs basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the visiting Van Wert Cougars to 44 in the Bulldogs league victory on Friday.

The Bulldogs now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Findlay for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 17. Defiance will battle a Trojans team coming off a 57-53 league win over Whitmer (Toledo, OH). The Trojans record now stands at 4-0.

The Cougars (2-1) will now prepare for their contest against Ottoville (Ottoville, OH). The Big Green come into the non-league contest with a 5-1 record. In their last contest, Ottoville edged Lincolnview (Van Wert, OH), 68-39, in a non-league contest.
