Rhode Island High School Basketball - South Kingstown thwarts Westerly
December 30, 2021: Westerly, RI 02891 The South Kingstown Rebels (Wakefield, RI) basketball knocked off the host Westerly Bulldogs (Westerly, RI), 51-34 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Rebels (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Portsmouth (Portsmouth, RI). The Patriots go into the State Championship B test with a 2-5 record. In their last test, Portsmouth went down by Barrington (Barrington, RI), 59-49, in a league test.
The Bulldogs now own a 1-2 record. They play next when they host Mt. Hope for a non-league test on Monday, January 3. Westerly will encounter a Huskies squad coming off a 54-36 non-league loss to Coventry (Coventry, RI). The Huskies record now stands at 1-5.
