The St. Martin's Episcopal Saints (Metairie, LA) basketball nipped the host Catholic of Pointe Coupee Hornets (New Roads, LA), 35-33 in Friday's non-league test.

The Saints (4-1) will now prepare for their bout against McGehee (New Orleans, LA). The Hawks go into the 1A District 10 bout with a 3-3 record. In their last bout, McGehee held off Thomas Jefferson (Gretna, LA), 63-34, in a non-league bout.
