The Hertford County Bears (Ahoskie, NC) basketball felled the visiting Currituck County Knights (Barco, NC), 71-55 in Tuesday's league test.

The Bears (11-3) will now prepare for their test against Holmes (Edenton, NC). The Aces go into the 2A/3A Conference 15 test with a 7-10 record. In their last test, Holmes went down by Manteo (Manteo, NC), 46-32, in a league test.

The Knights now own a 6-9 record. They play next when they host First Flight for a 2A/3A Conference 15 test on Friday, January 20. Currituck County will encounter a Nighthawks squad coming off a 75-58 league win over Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC). The Nighthawks record now stands at 9-7.
