Maryland High School Basketball - Mountain Ridge nips Allegany
February 1, 2022: Frostburg, MD 21532 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Mountain Ridge Miners (Frostburg, MD) and the visiting Allegany Campers (Cumberland, MD), saw Mountain Ridge's basketball squad hold off Allegany by a tally of 58-56.
With the victory, Mountain Ridge improves its record to 11-2 on the campaign. The Miners host Washington (Charles Town, WV) to play the Patriots in a Eastern Panhandle challenge on Friday, February 4. The Patriots come into the challenge with a record of 1-7. Washington lost 81-45 in their recent league challenge against Martinsburg (Martinsburg, WV)
Next up, the Campers play the Frankfort Falcons (Ridgeley, WV) in a non-league challenge, on Thursday, February 3. Allegany will attempt to improve on its 5-4 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 67-47 non-league loss to Moorefield (Moorefield, WV).
