North Carolina High School Basketball - Owen overwhelmed by Veritas Christian Academy
November 20, 2014: Arden, NC 28704 The Owen Warhorses basketball team (Black Mountain, NC), was overwhelmed 60-30 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Veritas Christian Academy Warriors (Arden, NC)
The Warriors now possess a 3-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Asheville School for a non-league battle on Monday, November 24. Veritas Christian Academy will meet a Blues team coming off a 71-61 non-league loss to Carmel Christian (Matthews, NC). The Blues record now stands at 1-3.
The Warhorses (0-2) will now prepare for their contest against North Buncombe (Weaverville, NC). The Black Hawks enter the non-league contest with a 2-0 record. In their last contest, North Buncombe triumphed over Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC), 78-67, in a non-league contest.
