Georgia High School Basketball - Athens Christian nips Oglethorpe County
December 1, 2023: Athens, GA 30601 Athens Christian Eagles (Athens, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Oglethorpe County Patriots (Lexington, GA), 50-43 in a non-league bout.
With the win, Athens Christian upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Eagles travel to Chestatee (Gainesville, GA) to play the War Eagles in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 2. The War Eagles go into the bout with a record of 2-3. Chestatee won 70-50 in their recent non-league bout against Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA)
Next up, the Patriots play the Elbert County Blue Devils (Elberton, GA) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 2. Oglethorpe County will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 81-78 non-league loss to Hart County (Hartwell, GA).
