South Dakota High School Basketball - Elk Point-Jefferson trounces Akron-Westfield
December 14, 2015: Elk Point, SD 57025 The Elk Point-Jefferson Huskies (Elk Point, SD) basketball crushed the visiting Akron-Westfield Westerners (Akron, IA), 73-49 in Monday's non-league test.
The Huskies (2-0) will now prepare for their test against Sioux Falls Christian (Sioux Falls, SD). The Chargers go into the non-league test with a 2-0 record. In their last test, Sioux Falls Christian walloped West Central (Hartford, SD), 89-40, in a non-league test.
The Westerners now own a 1-1 record. They play next when they host West Sioux for a War Eagle test on Tuesday, December 15. Akron-Westfield will encounter a Falcons squad coming off a 74-67 non-league win over Alcester-Hudson (Alcester, SD). The Falcons record now stands at 2-2.
