Kentucky High School Basketball - Model knocked off by Bourbon County
December 6, 2023: Paris, KY 40361 The Bourbon County Colonels basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Model Patriots to 55 in the Colonels non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Colonels now sport a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Bracken County for a non-league contest on Friday, December 8. Bourbon County will battle a Polar Bears team coming off a 71-34 non-league loss to Newport Central Catholic (Newport, KY). The Polar Bears record now stands at 0-5.
The Patriots (1-3) will now prepare for their contest against Powell County (Stanton, KY). The Pirates enter the non-league contest with a 1-3 record. In their last contest, Powell County ran past Montgomery County (Mt. Sterling, KY), 79-70, in a non-league contest.
