The Phillipsburg Stateliners (Phillipsburg, NJ) football defeated the visiting Hunterdon Central Red Devils (Flemington, NJ), 37-14 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Stateliners face the Ridge Red Devil (Basking Ridge, NJ) in a Mid-State 38 - Delaware bout, on Friday, September 27. Phillipsburg will attempt to advance on its 3-0 season record. The Red Devil enter the bout with a 2-0 record after their 31-14 league win over Bridgewater-Raritan (Bridgewater, NJ).
