With the win, Polk County upgrades its record to 10-7 on the year. The Wolverines travel to Brevard (Brevard, NC) to face the Blue Devils in a non-league outing on Wednesday, October 3. The Blue Devils go into the outing with a record of 18-1. Brevard won 3-1 in their recent league outing against Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC)
The Vikings now own a 7-10 record. They play next when they host Charles D. Owen for a 1A/2A Western Highlands outing on Thursday, October 4. Avery County will face a Warhorses squad coming off a 3-0 league win over Mountain Heritage (Burnsville, NC). The Warhorses record now stands at 10-8.
