North Carolina High School Basketball - East Davidson winner over Southern Guilford
January 6, 2021: Greensboro, NC 27406 The East Davidson Golden Eagles (Thomasville, NC) basketball felled the host Southern Guilford Storm (Greensboro, NC), 47-35 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Golden Eagles (1-0) will now prepare for their test against Wheatmore (Trinity, NC). The Warriors go into the PAC 7 2A test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Wheatmore was beaten by Randleman (Randleman, NC), 58-41, in a league test.
The Storm now own a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Walter M. Williams for a Mid-Piedmont 3A test on Thursday, January 7. Southern Guilford will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 59-44 league win over Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-0.
