Crater Comets (Central Point, OR) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Thurston Colts (Springfield, OR), 84-20 in a league bout.

With the win, Crater upgrades its record to 14-2 on the season. The Comets travel to Churchill (Eugene, OR) to play the Lancers in a 5A Midwestern bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Lancers go into the bout with a record of 4-11. Churchill won 73-33 in their recent league bout against Ashland (Ashland, OR)

Next up, the Colts play the Eagle Point Eagles (Eagle Point, OR) in a 5A Midwestern bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Thurston will attempt to upgrade on its 4-13 season record. The Eagles go into the bout with a 8-9 record after their 89-28 league loss to Springfield (Springfield, OR).
