The South Caldwell Spartans got by the visiting Ashe County Huskies baseball team by a count of 6-5 in Friday's league bout.

The Spartans now possess a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they host Pine Lake Prep for a non-league bout on Monday, April 3. South Caldwell will face a Pride team coming off a 5-1 league loss to Lincoln Charter (Denver, NC). The Pride record now stands at 2-9.
