In Tuesday's non-league challenge, the Alexander Central Cougars (Taylorsville, NC) baseball squad triumphed over the host Ashe County Huskies (West Jefferson, NC), by a final score of 10-0.

With the win, Alexander Central upgrades its record to 19-6 on the season. The Cougars travel to Watauga (Boone, NC) to encounter the Pioneers in a non-league challenge on Thursday, May 4. The Pioneers come into the challenge with a record of 18-5. Watauga won 11-10 in their recent non-league challenge against South Caldwell (Hudson, NC)

With the defeat, Ashe County falls to 12-10 on the season.
