Waldron Spartans (Waldron, MI) backers were in high spirits Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host St. Philip Catholic Central Fighting Tigers (Battle Creek, MI), 42-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Waldron upgrades its record to 11-5 on the season. The Spartans host Tekonsha (Tekonsha, MI) to clash with the Indians in a Southern Central bout on Friday, February 25. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 4-12. Tekonsha lost 50-43 in their recent non-league challenge against Will Carleton Academy (Hillsdale, MI)

Next up, the Fighting Tigers play the Athens Indians (Athens, MI) in a Southern Central challenge, on Friday, February 25.
