The crowd at Friday's league contest between the Point Pleasant Boro Panthers (Point Pleasant, NJ) and the visiting Long Branch Green Wave (Long Branch, NJ), observed Point Pleasant Boro's football squad defeat Long Branch by a count of 42-14.

The Panthers now own a 4-0 record. They play next when they host Rumson-Fair Haven for a non-league contest on Friday, September 29. Point Pleasant Boro will encounter a Bulldogs squad coming off a 34-6 league loss to Red Bank Catholic (Red Bank, NJ). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-2.

With the loss, Long Branch moves to 2-3 on the season. The Green wave host St. John-Vianney (Holmdel, NJ) to confront the Lancers in a non-league test on Saturday, September 30. The Lancers go into the test with a record of 1-4. St. John-Vianney won 34-0 in their recent non-league test against Ocean Township (Oakhurst, NJ)
