Chaparral Firebirds (Scottsdale, AZ) fans exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the visiting Higley Knights (Gilbert, AZ), 16-3 in a non-league test.

With the win, Chaparral upgrades its record to 16-4 on the season. The Firebirds travel to Centennial (Peoria, AZ) to battle the Coyotes in a non-league test on Thursday, April 6. The Coyotes come into the test with a record of 15-4. Centennial won 11-1 in their recent league test against Kellis (Glendale, AZ)

With the defeat, Higley falls to 6-14 on the season. The Knights host Casteel (Queen Creek, AZ) to battle the Colts in a 5A San Tan test on Thursday, April 6. The Colts come into the test with a record of 15-4. Casteel won 11-0 in their recent league test against Mountain Pointe (Phoenix, AZ)
