North Carolina High School Basketball - Scotland thwarts Marlboro County

January 26, 2019: Laurinburg, NC 28352

The Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting Marlboro County Bulldogs (Bennettsville, SC), 53-43 in Saturday's non-league test.

The Fighting Scots (7-11) will now prepare for their test against Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC). The Rams go into the Sandhills 4A test with a 4-12 record. In their last test, Purnell Swett went down by Richmond (Rockingham, NC), 37-22, in a league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 8-12 record. They play next when they host Darlington for a AAAA Region VI test on Tuesday, January 29.
