The Pinecrest Patriots (Southern Pines, NC) basketball nipped the host Seventy-First Falcons (Fayetteville, NC), 83-82 in Tuesday's league test.

The Patriots (6-0) will now prepare for their test against Richmond (Rockingham, NC). The Raiders go into the Sandhills Athletic 4A test with a 1-3 record. In their last test, Richmond was tipped by Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC), 78-74, in a league test.
