The South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS) basketball felled the host North Pontotoc Vikings (Ecru, MS), 76-66 in Friday's non-league test.

The Cougars (17-6) will now prepare for their test against Aberdeen (Aberdeen, MS). The Bulldogs go into the 3A Region 2 test with a 12-7 record.

The Vikings now own a 15-8 record. They take the field next when they host Ripley for a 3A Region 1 test on Tuesday, January 27.
