The Howard Lions basketball team (Ellicott City, MD), was overwhelmed 78-52 in Wednesday's league battle with the host Oakland Mills Scorpions (Columbia, MD)

The Scorpions now possess a 8-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Atholton for a Howard County battle on Friday, January 11. Oakland Mills will battle a Raiders team coming off a 75-37 league win over Glenelg (Glenelg, MD). The Raiders record now stands at 8-1.

The Lions (4-7) will now prepare for their battle against River Hill (Clarksville, MD). The Hawks come into the Howard County battle with a 5-7 record. In their last battle, River Hill trounced Long Reach (Columbia, MD), 69-58, in a league battle.
