April 10, 2024: Swanton, OH 43558 The Northview Wildcats topped the host Swanton Bulldogs volleyball team by a score of 3-0 in Wednesday's non-league test.
The Wildcats now have a 6-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Springfield for a non-league test on Thursday, April 11. Northview will confront a Blue Devils team coming off a 3-0 non-league win over Scott (Toledo, OH). The Blue Devils record now stands at 5-7.
The Bulldogs (0-3) will now prepare for their test against Springfield (Holland, OH). The Blue Devils enter the non-league test with a 5-8 record. In their last test, Springfield was knocked off by Northview (Sylvania, OH), 3-1, in a non-league test.
Match Summary
SWANTON - In the second match-up of the Wildcats vs. the Bulldogs, it was Northview victorious in straight sets to move to 6-2 overall and, with this total team effort for the win, Northview is half way through their 9 match road trip.
Leading for Northview was senior outsider hitter, Evan Beazley, with 7 kills on 10 attempts, hitting .600; senior pin hitters, Christian Berling and Caden Lane with 6 kills a piece; and senior outside hitter, John Richmond with 5 kills. Richmond added a team high 8 digs, followed by senior defensive specialist, Adam Krajicek wtih 7 digs. Setters Dillon Ersig added 11 assists and Johnny Krolak added another 7 to lead the offense. The balanced attack of Northview saw kills from 8 different players and the team recorded 16 aces, led by senior Addison Suon with 4.
Northview returns to action on Thursday, April 11th as they travel to Springfield.
