The North Charleston Cougars football team (North Charleston, SC), was knocked off 19-8 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Whale Branch Warriors (Beaufort, SC)

The Warriors (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Ridgeland/Hardeeville (Ridgeland, SC). The Jaguars come into the non-league challenge with a 0-2 record. In their last challenge, Ridgeland/Hardeeville was knocked off by Battery Creek (Beaufort, SC), 39-28, in a non-league challenge.

The Cougars now sport a 1-1 record. They take the field next when they host Baptist Hill for a non-league challenge on Thursday, September 1. North Charleston will meet a Bobcats team coming off a 26-8 non-league win over St. John's (John's Island, SC). The Bobcats record now stands at 1-0.
