December 9, 2022: La Mesa, CA 91941 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the La Jolla Country Day Torreys (La Jolla, CA) and the host Helix Highlanders (La Mesa, CA), saw La Jolla Country Day's basketball squad overcome Helix by a tally of 80-62.
With the victory, La Jolla Country Day improves its record to 5-2 on the campaign. The Torreys travel to Foothills Christian (El Cajon, CA) to play the Knights in a Coastal challenge on Wednesday, December 14. The Knights come into the challenge with a record of 0-6. Foothills Christian lost 63-62 in their recent non-league challenge against San Dieguito Academy (Encinitas, CA)
Next up, the Highlanders play the University City Centurions (San Diego, CA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, December 13. Helix will attempt to improve on its 4-6 season record. The Centurions come into the challenge with a 7-2 record after their 72-41 non-league win over Monte Vista (Spring Valley, CA).
