The Lanier Longhorns basketball team scored 47 points and restricted the host North Gwinnett Bulldogs to 44 in the Longhorns non-league victory on Saturday.

The Longhorns now sport a 9-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Forsyth for a AAAAAA Region 8 contest on Tuesday, January 23. Lanier will battle a Raiders team coming off a 65-28 league win over Apalachee (Winder, GA). The Raiders record now stands at 19-0.

The Bulldogs (9-10) will now prepare for their contest against Berkmar (Lilburn, GA). The Patriots come into the AAAAAAA Region 7 contest with a 1-19 record. In their last contest, Berkmar was nudged by Peachtree Ridge (Suwanee, GA), 61-36, in a league contest.
