In Friday's league match, the visiting Hickory Red Tornadoes football squad scored a big 34-0 victory over the North Iredell Raiders.

In their next game, the Red Tornadoes clash with the West Iredell Warriors (Statesville, NC) in a 3A West Conference 51 match, on Friday, October 14. Hickory will attempt to move on its 5-2 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 1-6 record after their 16-0 league loss to Statesville (Statesville, NC).
