Mio-Au Sable Thunderbolts (Mio, MI) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Atlanta Huskies (Atlanta, MI), 37-26 in a league bout.

With the win, Mio-Au Sable upgrades its record to 1-0 on the season. The Thunderbolts travel to Heston Academy (St. Helen, MI) to play the Patriots in a non-league bout on Friday, February 4. The Patriots go into the bout with a record of 2-1.

Next up, the Huskies play the Oscoda Owls (Oscoda, MI) in a North Star bout, on Monday, December 20. Atlanta will attempt to upgrade on its 3-2 season record. The Owls go into the bout with a 1-3 record after their 49-48 league loss to Au Gres-Sims (Au Gres, MI).
