Ohio High School Basketball - Northeastern knocked off by West Jefferson

The West Jefferson Roughriders basketball team scored 56 points and held the visiting Northeastern Jets to 44 in the Roughriders league triumph on Saturday.

The Roughriders now sport a 9-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host West Liberty-Salem for a Ohio Heritage contest on Tuesday, February 1. West Jefferson will battle a Tigers team coming off a 32-28 league win over Madison Plains (London, OH). The Tigers record now stands at 9-7.

The Jets (5-13) will now prepare for their contest against Bradford (Bradford, OH). The Railroaders enter the non-league contest with a 10-6 record. In their last contest, Bradford ran past Dixie (New Lebanon, OH), 59-56, in a league contest.
