Virginia High School Basketball - Miller School of Albemarle nipped by Blue Ridge

The Blue Ridge Barons tipped the host Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks basketball team by a final score of 60-56 in Thursday's league game.

In their next game, the Barons face the Hargrave Military Academy Tigers (Chatham, VA) in a Virginia Independent game, on Tuesday, January 16. Blue Ridge will attempt to move on its 10-4 season record. The Tigers enter the game with a 7-3 record after their 73-69 non-league loss to Oak Hill Academy - Red (Mouth of Wilson, VA).

With the defeat, Miller School of Albemarle moves to 10-3 on the year. The Mavericks travel to Bishop McGuinness (Kernersville, NC) to face the Villains in a non-league game on Saturday, January 13. The Villains enter the game with a record of 11-2. Bishop McGuinness won 72-52 in their recent league game against Piedmont Classical (Browns Summit, NC)
