The Mid Valley Spartans (Throop, PA) baseball the host Riverside Vikings (Taylor, PA), 9-4 in Wednesday's league contest.

Coming up next, the Spartans encounter the Honesdale Hornets (Honesdale, PA) in a Lackawanna 2 contest, on Friday, May 10. Mid Valley will attempt to better on its 13-6 season record. The Hornets come into the contest with a 11-6 record after their 10-8 league loss to Holy Cross (Dunmore, PA).

The Vikings now sport a 14-4 record. They play next when they travel to Old Forge for a Lackawanna 2 test on Saturday, May 11. Riverside will battle a Blue Devils squad coming off a 15-2 league win over Lakeland (Jermyn, PA). The Blue Devils record now stands at 9-9.
