Ropes Eagles (Ropesville, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Post Antelopes (Post, TX), 70-27 in a league bout.

With the win, Ropes upgrades its record to 12-7 on the season. The Eagles host New Home (New Home, TX) to play the Leopards in a 2A Region I District 5 bout on Tuesday, January 17. The Leopards go into the bout with a record of 11-7. New Home won 75-59 in their recent league bout against Plains (Plains, TX)

Next up, the Antelopes play the New Home Leopards (New Home, TX) in a 2A Region I District 5 bout, on Friday, January 20. Post will attempt to upgrade on its 1-22 season record.
