The Van Buren Crusaders basketball team (Van Buren, ME), was overwhelmed 49-22 in Wednesday's league battle with the visiting Katahdin Cougars (Sherman Station, ME)

The Cougars now possess a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hodgdon for a non-league battle on Tuesday, February 1.

The Crusaders (1-4) will now prepare for their battle against Wisdom (St. Agatha, ME). The Pioneers come into the D North battle with a 6-1 record. In their last battle, Wisdom trounced Fort Fairfield (Fort Fairfield, ME), 57-41, in a non-league battle.
