Pennsylvania High School Basketball - Freeport over Riverview

January 7, 2023: Oakmont, PA 15139

Fans at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Freeport Yellowjackets (Freeport, PA) and the host Riverview Raiders (Oakmont, PA), saw Freeport's basketball squad overcome Riverview by a tally of 55-36.

With the victory, Freeport improves its record to 5-9 on the campaign. The Yellowjackets travel to Derry (Derry, PA) to play the Trojans in a WPIAL 4A 1 challenge on Thursday, January 12. The Trojans come into the challenge with a record of 6-6.

Next up, the Raiders play the Jeannette Jayhawks (Jeannette, PA) in a WPIAL 1A 3 challenge, on Monday, January 9. Riverview will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record. The Jayhawks come into the challenge with a 1-11 record after their 61-18 league loss to St. Joseph (Natrona Heights, PA).
