New York High School Basketball - Corning-Painted Post over Owego Free Academy
January 13, 2023: Corning, NY 14830 Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Corning-Painted Post Hawks (Corning, NY) and the visiting Owego Free Academy Indians (Owego, NY), saw Corning-Painted Post's basketball squad overcome Owego Free Academy by a tally of 55-47.
With the victory, Corning-Painted Post improves its record to 5-3 on the campaign. The Hawks travel to Union-Endicott (Endicott, NY) to confront the Tigers in a Section 4 Southern Tier - Metro challenge on Friday, January 27. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 8-3.
Next up, the Indians confront the Susquehanna Valley Sabers (Conklin, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, January 17. Owego Free Academy will attempt to improve on its 9-3 season record. The Sabers come into the challenge with a 3-7 record after their 71-52 league loss to Chenango Forks (Binghamton, NY).
