North Carolina High School Volleyball - Polk County over East Rutherford

September 15, 2022: Columbus, NC 28722

Polk County Wolverines (Columbus, NC) supporters left the game in high spirits Thursday as they observed their volleyball squad top the visiting East Rutherford Cavaliers (Forest City, NC), 3-0 in a league match.

Next up, the Wolverines battle the Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC) in a Mountain Foothills Seven 2A match, on Tuesday, September 20. Polk County will attempt to advance on its 11-1 season record. The Blue Devils come into the match with a 8-2 record after their 3-1 league win over Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC).

With the loss, East Rutherford drops to 9-6 on the campaign. The Cavaliers travel to Shelby (Shelby, NC) to battle the Golden Lions in a non-league match on Monday, September 19. The Golden Lions come into the match with a record of 3-9. Shelby lost 3-1 in their recent league match against Thomas Jefferson (Mooresboro, NC)
