Fans at Monday's league challenge between the West Springfield Spartans (Springfield, VA) and the visiting South County Stallions (Lorton, VA), saw West Springfield's basketball squad knock off South County by a tally of 41-26.

With the victory, West Springfield improves its record to 10-3 on the campaign. The Spartans travel to West Potomac (Alexandria, VA) to play the Wolverines in a District 4 challenge on Thursday, January 12. The Wolverines come into the challenge with a record of 7-6. West Potomac won 60-45 in their recent league challenge against Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA)

Next up, the Stallions play the Fairfax Lions (Fairfax, VA) in a District 4 challenge, on Thursday, January 12. South County will attempt to improve on its 2-8 season record. The Lions come into the challenge with a 2-9 record after their 51-20 league loss to Robinson (Fairfax, VA).
